Most baby experts agree that infant/toddler footwear should not be restricting. The soles should be flat, non-slip, and flexible. Babies actually have stronger ankles and do not require stiff shoes as was once believed. The main purpose for shoes is to be a foot covering and protect their feet from cold, heat, dirt, and hard objects.

Wiggee's shoes are made of soft durable, breathable leather of exceptional quality. The color dyes are safe, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. Our linings are 100% cotton terry cloth to help absorb perspiration because babies feet can perspire twice that of an adult. They are cut generously so as not to restrict movement. This allows the toes to extend and wiggle. They are designed to be easy to slip on, yet hard for babies to slip off. There are no laces to untie or trip over.

Each and every baby is different and our sizing reflects those differences. Our small fits infant sizes 1-2 1/2 or about 0-6 months old. Our medium fits infant sizes 2 1/2-4 or 6-12 months old. They have a soft suede sole. Our large fits toddler sizes 4-5 1/2 or 12-18 months old, and our X-large fits toddler sizes 5 1/2-7 or about 18-24 months. The large and X-large are the same shoe with the added feature of a thin and flexible rubber outsole.

This safety feature is a real PLUS! When your toddler begins to walk, run, and play, the suede sole can wear down to a shiny finish creating a slippery surface which could be potentially dangerous in the home. Wiggee's added rubber outsole is safer because it provides better traction yet still allows the foot to move freely without restrictions. The rubber outsole is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
